At Integrity, we believe some of the best ideas start with a good sandwich. Our Lunch & Learn sessions are more than a mid-day break, they’re a chance to connect, collaborate, and stay curious together. When you bring digital marketers, developers, and program leads into one room, you get a lively mix of fresh ideas, cross-team insights, and the occasional debate about who makes the best cookies in St. Louis.
Fueling Curiosity and Each Other
This week’s Lunch & Learn was all about GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), one of the fastest-emerging topics in digital marketing. As AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini reshape how people find and consume information, GEO helps us understand how to make our clients’ content visible to large language models (LLMs).
Our digital marketing team is obsessed with creating awesome content for our clients that ranks high in search. We’ve built strong best practices for both SEO content and technical SEO, and we’re always looking for new ways to push those results further. In the days leading up to the Lunch & Learn, our team explored demos of several new tools designed to support GEO strategies and uncover how content may be surfaced by generative engines. That hands-on curiosity set the stage for a great discussion.
Over sandwiches and salads, our team dug into how LLMs source information, how web content can be used as training data, and what that means for visibility, traffic, and leads. The conversation quickly turned into a brainstorm: how can Integrity’s mix of content marketing strategy, technical SEO, and development expertise help brands stay ahead of this shift?
Cross-Team Collaboration in Action
One of the best parts of Lunch & Learns is how they bring together people who don’t always sit side by side. Developers get to hear how marketers think about content. Marketers get a peek behind the curtain at how code and structure affect visibility. Program leads connect the dots between both sides to see how it all impacts client outcomes.
That kind of collaboration is where Integrity shines. We don’t just build websites or run campaigns in isolation. We bring our full team’s expertise to every project. Lunch & Learns remind us how interconnected our work really is, and how much stronger our solutions are when we build them together.
Remote, But Never Disconnected
Many of our team members work remotely most days, so these in-person sessions are a great excuse to reconnect face-to-face. There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when you can read the room, see people’s excitement, crack a few jokes, and bounce ideas off each other in real time.
The room was full of laughter, questions, and the occasional “wait, say that again” moment. All the signs of a good conversation and a great use of our time. It wasn’t just about learning something new; it was about feeling connected to the mission we share: helping our clients grow through smarter, more human-centered digital experiences.
More Than a Meeting
What makes Lunch & Learns so valuable isn’t just the new information or free lunch, it’s the mindset behind them. They embody one of Integrity’s core strengths: continuous learning. In our industry, technology moves fast, and curiosity is the key to keeping up.
At Integrity, we talk a lot about growing your stock value, and it’s right there in our employee handbook. Lunch & Learns are one of the many ways to do just that. They’re optional, but they’re an open invitation to invest in yourself, learn from your peers, and take charge of your own growth. We believe there’s no better place to build your career capital than right here. How fast you grow and how much you learn is entirely up to you.
When we carve out time to learn together, we’re investing in more than professional development. We’re investing in relationships, shared knowledge, and the creative spark that comes from an open, collaborative culture.
Keep It Simple
If you’re thinking about starting your own Lunch & Learn program, don’t overthink it. You don’t need a polished deck or weeks of prep. Some of the best sessions start as casual conversations with a quick demo or live walkthrough.
Our GEO discussion was a relaxed, real-time look at a few tools that showed live data and sparked plenty of “oh wow” moments. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s sharing and learning. Keep it informal, keep it engaging, and keep the curiosity flowing.
The Takeaway (Besides Leftovers)
Lunch & Learns might look like an hour on the calendar, but they pack a lot more into that time. Inspiration, team connection, and ideas we can put into practice the same day. Whether we’re unpacking the latest marketing trends or exploring new development tools, these sessions remind us that the best way to stay innovative is to stay curious.
And yes, good sandwiches help too!
